The Mount Gambier & District Hospital is a modern 6 year old purpose built facility situated in 9 hectares of parkland. The hospital not only services the local population of 23,000 but also the Greater Green Triangle Region of about 50,000. It provides inpatient services with 100 beds including; a private hospital ward, general medicine, general surgical, O & G and paediatric facilities.
It has a 6 bed Intensive Care Unit, a theatre complex with 4 operating theatres and a large day case facility. A 24 hour Accident and Emergency Department, excellent conference and teaching facilities and Community Health Services are all based within the Hospital.
