Emergency Medicine Experience Survey - Advisory Group

SA MET is conducting an evaluation of interns’ learning experiences in Emergency Medicine rotations – those conducted in Emergency Departments, as well as the rotations undertaken in GP practices with emergency exposure in the affiliated regional hospital A&E departments.

A survey that aims to capture high quality information about interns’ Emergency Medicine experience is being constructed, and an invitation is extended to junior doctors who may be interested in being part of an advisory group, helping shape the content and wording of the questionnaire such that good, useful information is gathered, using the minimum number of questions.

SA Medical Education and Training (SA MET)

The South Australian Medical Education and Training (SA MET) Health Advisory Council (HAC) is an unincorporated council established by, and reporting, to the Minister for Health and Ageing in South Australia.

Its role is to improve the quality of education, training and welfare for interns and trainee medical officers (TMOs) within South Australia and make recommendations for the accreditation of TMO positions in health services.

The SA MET HAC is supported by the SA MET Unit staff who provide secretariat support for the council and undertake a range of other medical education, training and workforce functions for the South Australian health system.

These roles were previously undertaken by predecessor organisations, the South Australian Institute of Medical Education and Training (SA IMET) and the Postgraduate Medical Council of South Australia (PMCSA).

Changes to branding, website and communication materials will be implemented over the coming months.
