Job Sharing / Part–Time
Part-time appointments will be considered generally on a 0.5FTE (half time) capacity. Some hospitals may only consider part-time arrangements if another candidate wishes to be employed on a part-time basis so that one position can be shared.
Candidates need to negotiate part-time positions directly with hospitals BEFORE applying for a position. A letter will need to be obtained from the hospital indicating that discussions have taken place and this letter will be required for uploading at time of application.
Please note: Once the application process has closed SA IMET will collate part-time applications and make contact with relevant hospitals who will then make further considerations. Submitting a part-time application does not guarantee a part-time position.
