Deferment of Internship
An individual may defer undertaking full-time internship for a period of up to 2 years and part-time internship for a period of up to 1 year. Any period longer than that would require written permission from the Medical Board of South Australia and may involve the individual attending retraining in the final year of the undergraduate course.
The internship must be completed within 3 years of graduation.
