Modbury Hospital
Modbury Hospital is a dynamic, fully accredited hospital in the North Eastern suburbs of Adelaide. With 178 beds and a nearby GP Plus facility approaching completion, staff at Modbury will see a wide range of cases. Operating as part of the Northern Area of Adelaide Health Service; it is a teaching hospital of the University of Adelaide.
Modbury Hospital prides itself on being a community service, staffed by an adaptive and close knit group of professionals. It maintains strong connections with the local population through outreach programs, outpatient clinics, district nursing and community medicine services.
A wide range of postgraduate activities is scheduled throughout each week and the program is devised in collaboration with Trainee Medical Officers to effectively meet educational needs in a pro–active and timely fashion. Feedback is sought and welcomed from all stakeholders to develop a robust, supportive environment for our TMOs. Dr Ken Hand as direction of Clinical Training and Ms Jenny Costi as Medical Education Officer are responsible for these activities.
Modbury operates in partnership with other SA Health hospitals and health services, and maintains a reputation for providing excellent patient care and a supportive environment for trainees.
