Noarlunga Health Services

Noarlunga Health Services is part of the Southern Adelaide Health Service and is located in the outer southern metropolitan area, in close proximity to southern beaches, rolling hills, the renowned Southern Vales wine region and the pleasant Fleurieu Peninsula. The catchment population is 170,000, of which a significant proportion are children and youth.

The hospital is a 102 bed public and private hospital with medical, surgical and mental health wards. The Emergency Department is busy, with 40,000 attendances per annum, 30% being under the age of 16. Noarlunga Health Services also consists of a regional Community Health Service and Mental Health Service.

Accreditation for training has been granted by the RACGP and ACRRM. The training offered has proven to be very suitable for those interested in rural general practice, but is also applicable for metropolitan practice. Medical staff can expect to see a broad spectrum of common diseases and develop practical skills. Supervision and teaching is from an emergency physician, general physicians, cardiologist, psychiatrists and numerous experienced general practitioners.

Rotations are offered for Emergency, General Medicine, Ambulatory Paediatrics and Mental Health.
