Royal Adelaide Hospital
Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) is part of Central Northern Adelaide Health Service and is a 650-bed tertiary referral centre located in the central business district of Adelaide. It is a major teaching hospital of The Universities of Adelaide and South Australia and offers postgraduate education programs in a wide range of specialties including general practice training.
RAH admits adult emergency and elective patients into a wide range of specialist units. It also offers a major trauma service.
RAH is adjacent to the Botanic Gardens and is within easy walking distance to the University of Adelaide, University of SA, Art Gallery of SA, SA Museum and Adelaide Zoo.
Nearby Rundle Street is a popular shopping and café strip and the home of our world renowned Fringe Festival.
Short term accommodation is available on the RAH campus. Quality real estate and rental accommodation are readily available close to the RAH. A child care facility is also available on site.
There is an active social club for doctors on campus, which operates a bar on Friday evenings, as well as organising a range of entertainment and social events.
The hospital is readily accessible by public transport from any part of the city.
