General, Basic Specialist and Surgical RMO and SET training positions
Basic and non-specialist trainee medical officer positions will be available at: Flinders Medical Centre (FMC), Lyell McEwin Hospital (LMH), Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service (MGDHS), Modbury Hospital (Mod), Repatriation General Hospital (RGH), Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH), Women's and Children's Hospital (WCH), Noarlunga Health Services (NHS) and SA Pathology. Surgical RMO and SET training positions will be available at RAH, FMC, TQEH and WCH.
Please Note: Surgical RMO programs are available to trainees for a maximum of two years after which the trainee needs to be accepted into the SET program. Trainees who have completed more than one year in the Surgical RMO program are not eligible to apply for further Surgical RMO training through this process.
Training positions are available on rotation. Generally rotations are of three months duration but extended rotations are offered in some areas. NOTE: Enquiries should be directed to hospital and health unit contacts as listed under Hospitals and Health Units.
